🎮 Game: Trials Evolution
📍 Event : First Annual “Create-a-Mini Game Competition”
In 2013, community members ANDYBMXBandit and Jarr3tt88 launched the very first “Create-a-Mini Game Competition” for Trials Evolution. Unlike previous competitions focused on traditional track-building, this contest challenged players to design skill games or mini-games within the game’s powerful editor.
The organizers encouraged originality and creativity, with a preference for games that didn’t necessarily involve the bike or rider, though all gameplay approaches were accepted. Participants were urged to make use of tutorials and the nearly two-month build time to craft polished, complex, and fun experiences.
Rules & Structure
Entrants had to create a new mini-game or skill game, released after January 24, 2013.
Only one submission per participant was allowed.
Team submissions were permitted.
Games were judged across 10 categories, including originality, aesthetics, playability, replay value, coding complexity, and ease of use. Each category carried up to 10 points, for a total of 100.
The judging panel included ANDYBMXBandit, Jarr3tt88, KatamariUK, nannerdw, and mutetus. Judges could also participate, but they could not score their own entries.
Prizes
1st place: 4,000 MSP or Trials Gold Edition / 2,400 MSP
2nd & 3rd place: 2,400 MSP or Trials Gold Edition / 800 MSP
4th place: 1,600 MSP or Trials Gold Edition
