Overview
RTA in Japan is one of the most iconic speedrunning marathons in Japan. Unlike other major events like AGDQ or Speedons, this marathon focuses purely on gameplay rather than donations. As a result, runs are never interrupted for donation reading or shoutouts, creating a fully immersive viewing experience centered on performance.
Trials Run
During the 2021 Winter edition, Japanese runner Kamekichi128 performed an Extreme% run on Trials Rising — a category that involves completing all Extreme-difficulty tracks, including DLC content. The run was held remotely, due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions at the time.
