What is a Star Player?
Star Players are individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities, whether through content creation, streaming, moderation, or other forms of engagement. Past Star Players have included amateur artists, cosplayers, streamers, and community moderators—people who enhance their communities constructively and creatively. In short: they excel at what they do.
Program Objectives
The Star Player program rewards dedicated fans by providing VIP access to major events such as Gamescom or E3. Members receive opportunities that go far beyond the typical attendee experience, including:
Priority access to conferences
Early hands-on opportunities with new games and content
Direct interaction with game development teams
Participation in workshops and community-related initiatives (e.g., tackling toxic behavior in gaming)
Star Players also provide feedback to developers and share their insights with the wider community, helping improve games and foster positive player experiences.
Community Impact
Star Players share a love for games beyond just their favorite titles. The program encourages lasting friendships, collaborative play, and even romantic connections among members. Regular meetups, online sessions, and live streams further strengthen the sense of community. The announcement of new Star Players is often accompanied by live celebrations with past members, making the moment both emotional and festive.
Trials Star Players
It should be noted that the Star Player program officially began in 2015, but since FatShady was the first player to be considered and treated as such with everything that implies, we set the date to 2013. The name « Star Player » would therefore only be used officially starting in 2015.
For the Trials franchise, Star Players were typically named at major events and invited to participate :

After 2019, no further Star Players were named, and the program eventually closed as the Trials series was gradually phased out.
