📅 Date : Just before the release of Trials Rising
📍 Event : Launch of the community website trials-france.fr
🧑💻 Lead : Developed by Chaaampy
La Baguette
On this day, the new community hub trials-france.fr officially launched.
The website was created shortly before the release of Trials Rising, as a replacement for the historic trials.fr site. Its development, led by community member Chaaampy, was somewhat rushed following internal disagreements between the former webmaster of trials.fr, other legacy team members, and certain individuals at Ubisoft. In the end, the original webmaster chose to shut down trials.fr completely before the release of the new game.
Trials-france.fr served as the main online hub for the French-speaking Trials community. It offered a wealth of information and data related to the franchise, including:
Active forums gathering a wide player base from the French community
A wiki and hall of fame
Tutorials and track-building resources
Event and tournament organization
Community news and updates
Despite its strong initial momentum, the site eventually went offline (forgot to pay the bill, sorry). However, the French-speaking community remains active on the French Trials Discord server, which can still be accessed via the “Friends” section.
The site’s associated social media channels are still online, though they are no longer actively maintained. The official French builder team, however, remains an important part of the Trials ecosystem, having released tracks for over 10 years — with the possibility of more to come in the future.
