On this day, Beyond Inhumanity (or BI), a long checkpoint series considered the ultimate challenge of its time, was released on Trials Evolution, created by ll Ghetto x.

According to Ghetto, who was losing interest in the game, this track was meant as a final, extreme challenge for the community. It was later remade by Level99 on Trials Fusion.

On August 11, 2016, PeqzFTW uploaded a video showing his failure at the last bounce of Beyond Inhumanity after more than 70 timeouts—around 35 hours of attempts, not counting practice and early restarts—leading him to quit the game. The upload description read: “Beyond Inhumanity 1 – 0 Peqz.”

The track’s defining difficulty was the fifth checkpoint, as long as the previous four combined and ending with a series of bounces that could not be saved. Any small mistake forced players to redo the entire checkpoint. This was the first instance of such a long checkpoint in a high-level track, highlighting the importance of consistency as a key factor of ninja difficulty.

This innovation shifted the meta toward longer checkpoints emphasizing consistency rather than shorter, more mechanically demanding sections.

On Trials Evolution, slikscythez became the first player to clear this level 7 track nearly 18 months after its release.

Two weeks after his pass on Luscious, Nautii succeeded in passing Beyond Inhumanity on Fusion, dedicating his run to peqz and establishing a shared ninja standard between both games.
